La pieza No preguntar por más información fue realizada específicamente para el stand de Proyecto Paralelo en ZonaMACO 2020. En esa feria todo el booth se encontraba detrás de una puerta, invisible para los visitantes. Fuera, solo se podía ver la pieza de Ignasi Aballí que describía cada una de las once obras de distintos artistas que componían el stand sin hacer mención de autores o títulos. La pieza retoma algunos temas claves del trabajo de Aballí como las dinámicas de la mirada, la relación de lo que vemos con lo que sabemos, la invisibilidad y la relación entre los objetos y el lenguaje que los describe.
The work No preguntar por más información (Don’t ask for more information) was made specifically for Proyecto Paralelo’s booth in the 2020 edition of ZonaMACO. In that fair the gallery’s booth was hidden behind a closed door and thus invisible to the casual passer-by. Outside the only visible work was this piece by Aballí that describes each of the eleven artworks by different artists that comprised the booth with no mention to authors or titles. The work takes on some of the key subjects in Aballí’s work such as the dynamics of the gaze, the relation between what we see and what we know, invisibility and the relationship between objects and the language that describes them
